Suggestion
Will this make Mission Street an dead end street at Lower Main? This will be very horrible/inconvenient to the residents on that street, especially these living next to Lower Main.

Also minimized on residential streets like Eha Street.
Suggestion
I agree with closing Mission Street as traffic should be kept off smaller residential streets.
Question
How would this Alternative 4 meet your safety criteria by blocking off near lower main? This would prevent escape routes for emergencies which would cause bottleneck in the area (ex. Lahaina fires).
Suggestion
Alternative #4. I believe these additional extensions would help in relieving some heavy traffic that is current and yet to come. More accessible to schools, work, and shopping.
Suggestion
I'd go with Alternative 4. In the past I've lived in this area. Back then, the traffic concerned me as they started building Hawaiian Homes in this area. I'd drive through the Macadamia Nut fields early in the mornings and return in the afternoon with thoughts of the safety of getting vehicles in and out but also I"ve worked in Kaanapali and for whatever reason the roads would close down which would force me to return home from the back roads. I needed to return home as my husband and I both worked in Kaanapali and we had young children needing to be picked up from school. I'm glad that "Alternative 4" will attempt to create more options in regards to roads.
